Answers to Common Questions
Q: What is Microbiocide for Walls and Floors?
MicroBiocide for use on Floors and Walls is an anti-microbial treatment that controls and inhibits the growth of microorganisms - such as gram positive and gram negative bacteria, algae, and mold - on floors and walls. Damp musty odors caused by microbial contamination from excessive moisture, high levels of humidity, and flood and water damage is a serious problem in many living and working environments. Unsightly black mold streaks on walls and floors are all too often encountered in all types of buildings today. Microorganisms are everywhere causing odors, damaging surfaces and secreting toxic byproducts to living and working areas. MicroBiocide for Floors and Walls is specially formulated not only to control the growth of microorganisms on floors and walls, but its residual effect inhibits the regrowth of microbes for months. It controls contaminants that often cause poor Indoor Air Quality ("IAQ") and "sick building syndrome."
Q: How does MicroBiocide work??
Mold spores are ubiquitous. They are everywhere in our environment. It is only when mold spores grow and form colonies that they threaten human health. MicroBiocide creates a protective barrier on a surface that keeps spores from germinating. If they are unable to reproduce, they are unable to amplify into colonies.
Q: Is MicroBiocide easy to apply?
MicroBiocide is very easy to use. You first need to eliminate (if possible) the excess moisture that allows the mold to grow and clean the surface with One Sanitizer. To activate MicroBiocide for Floors and Walls simply follow the directions that are included for mixing the product. It is easily applied with the use of a compressed air sprayer, pump bug type sprayer, brush, roller, fogging device or wiping. Thoroughly saturate all areas to be treated. Depending on surface texture and absorbency, coverage ranges from two to six hundred square feet per gallon of diluted solution. Do not rinse off and allow to dry. You can use Microbiocide on cleaned surfaces like basement walls, floors, ceilings, window sills, refrigerator door seals, underneath sinks, or bathrooms. This can be repeated monthly for maximum protection.
